What's it about? When her mentally challenged son is charged with murdering a school girl, a devoted mother sets out to prove his innocence.
Is it any good? A fine thriller, beautifully photographed and framed, with a nice central performance from Hye-ja Kim as the titular Mother, whose commitment to amateur sleuthing would put the likes of Jessica Fletcher and Miss Marple to shame. Some of the clues are not entirely explained, but this is still a fresh and interesting variation on the detective/procedural murder investigation.
